I've come up with a final list for the cake sale foods.
Cakes: Red Velvet, Devil's Food, Chocolate Mousse
Cupcakes: Yellow, White, Chocolate, Red Velvet
Brownies: Fudge, Cheesecake, Chocolate Mint, Peanut Butter
Cheesecake: New York, Strawberry, Chocolate, Raspberry, Oreo
Cookies: Sugar and Shortbread
We can do all of the cakes in either round, heart, rectangular or square shaped pans. For the cookies, we can do a variety of different shapes including hearts, cupids, teddy bears, roses, cupids, etc. since our first fundraiser is for Valentine's Day. I'm thinking once we get things going, we may even be able to do mail order stuff (specifically cookies and brownies). I'm also in the process of creating the order form sheet.
I believe that the Augusta, Ga. people will be helping me to create the desserts that we'll use as sample designs for the order forms soon. Hopefully we'll be able to sell these too? If anyone has any ideas about certain cookie shapes that you think people would like, let me know in the comments section. Any and all ideas are welcome. I'm sure that we would be able to do specialty cookies with just about any design or shape possible, including Japanese things like sakura blossoms or sushi. I happen to have these bento cutters that also function as cookie cutters in sakura blossom, ume blossom, chrysanthemum, Japanese maple leaf , matsu leaf, bamboo leaf, and ginko leaf.

Xmas Outing
Mark your calenders.
Days Inn Suwanee
2955 Lawrenceville Suwanee
RdI-85 Exit 111 (Hwy 317)Suwanee, GA 30024 US
Check-in: Sat. December 27 check-in time After 03:00 PM
Check-out:Mon. December 29 check-out time Before 11:00 AM
So far it's $18 per person. It is important you make it for so many reasons. I'll list five:
1) You will be meeting everyone (In Georgia) that is helping out with the project.
2) We'll be having fun AND working
3) We'll be having a photoshoot (Dressing up is so much fun ^.^)
4) Discussion for cons/pre regging for cons/picking hotels/Nihon 09/Cosplays
5) It's going to be loads of fun
We can cover so many things if everyone is there. The outlook so far is going to be 6 out of 10 people that are involved with this are going to be there.
But two people have valid reasons for not being able to make it. That makes it 6 out of 8 being there.
If 8 people are there, the Secret Santa and the whole outing will be a sucess. And a certain con needs 7 people for the group discount.
The best part is, it's far away. You can go ahead and mark your calender. No excuses for not being able to make it.
Everyone has my myspace and Timeeka's.
Have questions ask me or Timeeka on there.

I figured it's about time I post a blog or two on this account.
I was looking through some Kraft cookbooks and I saw quite a few desserts we just have to make for the bake sale. If not the first one, definitely the second one.
The first bake sale will be Feb 14th, the second one will be in Atlanta.
Any fundraiser that we do will ALWAYS be on a Saturday.
Now back to the bake sale, we should get really creative. From posters to the desserts looking really awesome.
Some desserts will be easier to add a little Japanese to, while others not so easy.
This is where we have to get extra creative. Cute bento boxes to added personal touches (cute decals or even stamps on the wrapping).
Next month at the Atlanta Xmas outing, we can go ahead and do some advance shopping for the bake sale.
Another good thing about the bake sale is that it's going to be Feb 14th.
If we combine that with our love for all things Japanese, this bake sale could be a big hit.
And I posted some suggested prices for the bake sale in the myspace group. If you haven't seen them yet, check them out.
More than likely Timeeka will put them up when she posts the desserts we could make. We're not going to be making any advance desserts...........YET.

Food for Fundraising
Ohayō! I've spent a lot of time thinking of ways to raise money for supplies. We can't make top hats and jewelry without monies, so I thought that a mini mail order dessert business would help. I love to bake, and I believe that selling desserts in the same fashion as school fundraisers would definitely work. I plan on making a nice spreadsheet and packaging everything so that it's very professional. I'm gonna put a poll up soon so that I can see what type of desserts people would prefer to buy. Cheesecake, cake, brownies, cookies, and some fancier desserts would probably sell the best. Hopefully, I can start up pretty soon!

The Joy of Conventions
Ohayō everyone! I apologize for the lack of blogging; studying and work take up most of my day. Unfortunately, We haven't been able to meet up with most of the Georgia members, but this past weekend We decided on the cons that we will attend to definitely advertise AiNi. I'm really excited about all of the planning that We (Hima-san and I) managed to accomplish in the last couple of days. There's a post-Christmas meet up happening December 27-28. I'll get back everyone on the times and location of the hotel that We'll book. We also hope to have a mini photoshoot so that we can start designing the website.
Here's the list of the conventions (in chronological order):
Momocon (Atlanta, GA)
A-kon (Dallas, TX)
JAMPcon (Chattanooga, TN)
AWA XV (Atlanta, GA)
Kawacon (Augusta, GA)
I've linked each of the headings below to their respective sites.
MomoCon: This con is located at Georgia Tech's Student Center. It's a free con, so We're gonna use this con as a trial advertising run. By this time, we should have business cards and samples of the items we plan on creating. We're gonna get a table in the Artist's Alley, and we hope to have at least ten mini tops hats, ten diferent nail sets, ten Japanese fashion headbands, and other small items. We really need everyone in the area to be at this con, and considering that it's free, this a great opprotunity to get the world out.
A-kon: This is gonna be the biggest con that We'll attend next year , and We hope that we can meet up with some of the out of state members. By this time, the website should be up and running. We'll use the same advertising stragedy as MomoCon, but we don't plan on making the jump to a table in the dealer's room.
JAMPcon: This con is really close to us Georgia people, and We thought it would be a good idea to attend a con that is relatively North of the cons that most of us have attended. We plan on doing much of the same advertising, but with more actual products.
AWA: Without a doubt, this will be the most important con that We go to. We actually hope to get a table in the Dealer's Room at this one, and we plan on having enough products to make a confortable profit.
Kawa-Con: This is a brand new con being formed in Our homebase of Augusta. We definitely plan on having a table in the dealer's room, and We hope by this time, the props portion of the busindess will be up and running.
Next year will be busy, no?
